Tales of the maverick master
All of us have had one teacher in our lives who left their mark on us forever, good or bad. Eton history master Michael George MacDonald Kidson was one of those and his story is told in a new book by former pupil Jamie Blackett of Kirkbean, a farmer, Deputy Lord-Lieutenant for Dumfriesshire and a member of the Queen’s Bodyguard for Scotland Royal Company of Archers. He will be talking about The Enigma of Kidson at Wigtown Book Festival
