Welcome to our 100th issue
It is with great pride and delight that we bring you our 100th issue of Dumfries & Galloway Life. The magazine has come a long way since it was first launched – as the bimonthly DGB Life – back in September 2006, and while we’re thrilled to have won a number of awards, including Scottish Magazine of the Year, along the way, what matters most is that we have come to be regarded as a ‘Dumfries & Galloway institution’ by you, our readers.
In this special souvenir edition to mark our milestone 100th Dumfries & Galloway Life, we have compiled a list of 100 reasons why we love the region. Selecting just 100 entries for our categories – Destinations; People; Claims to Fame; Distinctly D&G; Innovation; Architecture & Design (VisitScotland’s year theme for 2016); Glorious Gardens; Food & Drink; Sport; Thrillseekers’ Paradise, and History – was no mean feat: as always with D&G we were spoilt for choice!
