Welcome to December

The nights have well and truly drawn in, the temperature has plummeted and we’ve even had our first snow of the winter, but there’s plenty to warm your hearts in this extra-special issue of your favourite magazine.
At a bumper 180 pages, it is one of our biggest issues in our 10-year history and there’s plenty to inform, entertain and inspire.

Red poppies were made in memory of each local person who lost their life during World War One, World War Two and the Korean War, and black poppies were made in memory of local miners. The poppies were arranged at the Multiverse with assistance from an artist, and pupils from Sanquhar and Kelloholm Primaries, Closeburn House School and Sanquhar Academy took part in a Remembrance parade. Photo by Colin Hattersley
